Robert and Joanne

At Robert Usher Photography we strive to produce the finest in Wedding and Portrait Photography and Videography. We are a husband and wife team and whether we are photographing your wedding or your portrait session, we aim to make you feeling relaxed and at ease.

Robert has over 30 years of experience and qualified for the Master Photographers Association in 1988. For the past 2 years running, Robert has been awarded 1st prize at the Annual British Institution of Professional Photography Awards for the 'Best Wedding Photograph in the North East'. In the 2009 competition, Robert also won the award for best photograph in the Pictorial/ Illustrative category and received 2 Merits for his portraiture work. The judge remarked that Robert’s photographs were very different to anything he had seen before – "a breath of fresh air".

Andrew and Claire

Andrew and myself (Claire) got married on the 14th September 2007 and both Robert and Joanne were just amazing on the day. Both Andrew and I were nervous and they both put us immediately at ease. As for the photo album, well i was speechless when i first saw it and everyone who we have shown absolutely love it and say it is the best they have seen and different. We still haven’t decided which 1 we want blown up for our wall. We also got the wedding on DVD which is brill!
