Photography Courses

Robert has over 30 years experience as a professional and over 1000 weddings under his belt. He qualified as a master photographer in 1988. Robert has also been awarded the North East Wedding Photographer of the year with the BIPP for the last 2 years and also took top awards in the portraiture and pictorial categories. He was also awarded NE Photographer Of The Year 2009/10.

Course 1

Weddings the Professional way.
Take photographs at a Real wedding, with a real Bride, Groom and guests.
An intensive 2 day course. Only one person per course £350

Day 1

A day at Robert’s Hartlepool Studio.
 You will discuss lighting, posing and workflow. This will also include preparation for the following days wedding. You can either bring along you own equipment or you will be supplied with a top spec Nikon camera and flash.

Day 2

The wedding

Join Robert as he shoots a real wedding. Learn new skills and develop your compositional eye under the guidance of an award winning Wedding and Portrait photographer. During the shoot you will receive one-to-one tuition and take many of the actual wedding photographs, with full support all the way through the day. You will learn everything from lighting and flash techniques to posing the bride and groom and organising family groups. The day will end with a discussion about the wedding. You will also be given a password so you can view the complete set of images from the day.

Course 2

Twilight & Evening Photography
4 Hours. £50 per person. Max 6 people

Beginning at Twilight in the picturesque North-East region of England. Learn new skills, develop your compositional eye and add to your portfolio. Tuition is a great way to kick-start your photography hobby - or fine tune your skills before you take the plunge to turn your hobby into your dream job. Spend 4 hours learning the techniques of Night Time Photography in a choice of locations. Tuition will be tailored to meet the needs of each individual. Maximum of 6 people per evening. If required, I can supply all the equipment you need free of charge.

Course 3

Learn how to get the best from your DSLR
3 Hour Studio based. £30 per person. Maximum 6 people

• Understanding what the settings of your DSLR do and how to get the best out of your equipment.
• An evening course at my Hartlepool based Studio.
• Ideal for beginners - Intermediate levels
• Lighting Exposure and balanced flash
• Shooting Raw
• What Lenses can do.
• Post Processing.
  

Course 4

Photography The Professional Way

1 Day course studio based. Max 4 people £150 per person
A relaxed full day course.

• We will discuss:
  • Weddings from the taking of the images to the design and delivery of the albums.
  • Portraits and studio lighting.
  • How to get the best out of your own equipment.
  • How to get the correct exposures and use balanced flash.
  • Computer systems and software.
  • We can also discuss wide format printing and how to produce canvas wraps.
• Lunch will be provided.
• Maximum of 4 people.
