More success for Robert Usher at the Annual BIPP Awards! ” Wedding photographer of the year for the 3rd year running!!” Robert is now also the Overall photographer of the year in the NE for the 2nd year running.
This year’s annual Photography competition for the North East region, held by the British Institute of Professional Photography, took place on Thursday 30th October 2010 at the RavensDene Hotel in Gateshead.
The competition was divided into five photography categories; Weddings, Portraits, Press & PR, Commercial and Pictorial. Professional photographers from across the North East submitted their best photographs into the competition for judgment by 2 judges. BIPP Fellow Jonathan Beer, who is one of the UKs top photographers and Neville Hutchinson from Loxley Colour Labs.
Robert entered images into the Wedding, Portrait and Pictorial and Press/PR categories at this years event. Once again Robert walked away with the prize for Best Wedding Photograph in the NE. He was also runner up in the Pictorial, Portraits, and also the Press/PR sections. Winning more than double the awarded point of the nearest competitor Robert was then awarded overall Northeast Photographer of the year.
Robert was praised by the judge for the technical skill of his photographs.
